What games should you use?
Although we supply most casino games, for a fundraiser Roulette and Blackjack should be the core games for your event. Both games can be learnt by guests in minutes, both have a high turnover and can run for as little as five minutes or as long as two hours, giving you and your guests real flexibility on the night.
For larger events we can also supply poker tables, Craps and other games to add variety. We are happy to advise on the right mix of tables for your guest numbers and format.
Legal rules for charity casino events
Fun casino fundraisers are held in accordance with Section 15 of the Lotteries Act 1968. There are a few rules your event must follow:
- All proceeds must go to charity. No one can personally gain from the evening, although the costs of the event can be deducted first.
- Casino Hire UK cannot be paid based upon the earnings of the event.
- Prizes cannot be based upon the earnings of the evening and must be stated in advance.
- Casino Hire UK cannot take part in the selling or distribution of fun money at any charity event where guests are being charged to play.
How does a charity casino night work?
Guests are given a set amount of fun money at the start of the evening and use it to play at the casino tables. At the end of the night, guests exchange their remaining fun money for raffle tickets, with prizes drawn at the end. This format is tried and tested, keeps guests engaged throughout the evening and maximises the amount raised.
We provide all tables fully staffed with professional croupiers dressed in evening attire. We set up before your event begins, brief your team on how the evening will run and handle everything on the night so you can focus on your guests and your cause. We can also add lighting packages, a sound system and themed setups to complete the evening.
